Little Rose Creche
Giving the smallest persons of our Community a sound preparation for school readiness, especially in terms of the English language, and regular meals. At the same time, giving parents the possibility to leave their children in good care while they are off to work.
Shelter for Vulnerable & Orphaned Children
At present, 18 children between the age of 7 to 16 have found shelter and a home at Little Rose Centre. We would like to continue to provide temporary accommodation for vulnerable children. They sleep in a dormitory where strict rules have to be respected. We aim to look after all their needs and to bring them up like in a big family. Thanks to the Shamalindi Group in Belgium, the kids have now a safe and nice place to sleep in! We adapted containers into living spaces. Why containers? If the government relocates us elsewhere, we take all our new facilities with us!
Feeding Scheme / Soup Kitchen
Directed to the most vulnerable members and families of our Community to ease their burden and to provide a minimum nutrition. We are currently offering 3 meals a day for over 100 kids that attend the Creche and our after care programmes. Our Soup Kitchen reaches out to a wider range of Community members, making sure that as many people as we can provide for have at least one cooked meal per day.
Reading Programme
In this relatively new programme the children and youngsters go to the library to experience the pleasure of book-reading and of plunging into an imaginary world. The Sage Foundation Library opened in January 2016. It’s a book and toy library where children and adults find a safe place to share, talk, read or play.

This fantastic facility allow us to have access to educational software for our kids from the Creche and the after care programs. We can now provide adolescents with basic to intermediate skills. It is extremely imperative for them to learn how to use this very important means of communication and to promote their future possibilities on the job market. It’s also a place where people from the whole community can have access to Internet. As part of maintaining the computer centre, people will be charged for the personal use of internet and the printing of paper at a reasonable amount.
